Justification
There are many complelling reasons to insist on"sole source" for your Technomad Military PA purchase. No other product line offers Technomad's unique combination of weatherproof construction, simple operation, full-range fidelity, long-distance speech clairty, deployable, palletizable design, and digital networking options. The last thing you want is to get a music-store audio system or horn-based PA when you request a Technomad Military PA.
Technomad products are available on GSA schedule - so you can buy them without needing to get three competitive bids. In some cases, purchasing activities will still require 3 bids for GSA-listed items. Since there are no feature-to-feature comparable military PA systems available, you will get either 3 identical quotes for a Technomad military PA system or quotes for lower-quality "substitutes".

to avoid purchasing problems: if you place your military audio order
using the "GSA Advantage" website
[ http://www.gsaadvantage.gov
], you will not be required to get competing quotes - you can
just order.
Background
information: GSA Advantage prices are considered by the FAR to be fair and reasonable.
Technomad gear purchases do not require a Statement of Work. According
to the FAR for such purchases "...an ordering activity shall consider
reasonably available information about the supply... by surveying the GSA Advantage!
on-line shopping service, or by reviewing the catalogs or pricelists
of at least three schedule contractors".
Therefore, reviewing GSA Advantage can be done INSTEAD of reviewing the pricelists
of schedule contractors. Since Technomad has only ONE authorized schedule
reseller (Hardigg Inc), GSA Advantage prices are the single valid price.
